raclette!
despite having grown up here, i only discovered raclette (a molten cheese dish) a few years ago at Mr. J's. and i fell in love. so when L. invited me to a raclette dinner at her place, i was completely up for it! and it was great, but i ate loads more than the 7 slices planned. probably double that. oops. oh well, it's not like i eat it every day. more like once a year.

First I've heard of this dish, but if it involves cheese of this magnitude, I'm THERE. How different from fondue? "Slices"?

you should 'come by' sometime and i'll organise another raclette party! basically, you slice some cheese (a special variety, of course), put it under a grill until it's semi-liquid and pour it over potatoes and ham. it's DELISH!
