the cost of the last G8

can't remember the exact details, but i saw in the news that someone had actually calculated the cost of the latest G8 summit. they added up the cost of the transport (for Bush, that was not only Air Force One but also 2 jets to act as 'bodyguards'), accommodation (for everyone, that was many more than one person per country!), the 'security wall' that was set up for the occasion, etc. the wall itself cost 12.5 million euros! think about what that money could have been used for instead...
