the end of a car

that's it. it's done. after finally getting all the relevant papers for the car (and boy do you need a lot for what is basically destruction), i took it up to the scrap yard. i thought i'd be sad but in fact, it suddenly all happened so quickly that i didn't have time. after weeks of trying to get hold of people for information about how to get the paperwork, i got one paper on Monday, one last night, and when i got home today, i only had 5 mns to change before i had to take the car up, so there wasn't any time to think about it. and when i left with the final paperwork (that said it was no longer mine), it was dark and cold and i only had 10 mns to walk to the nearest bus stop or i'd have to wait another 20 mns after that to be able to get home. so that was that. the old car is gone. long live the new car.
