i will never get men

i don't get it. this guy chatted me up. apparently, i really made an impression. so when i finally had a minute, i got in touch. followed a month of irregular messages, then emails. i only have a month before my next course starts so i thought that, if we were going to get to know each other, time was of the essence. so i thought i'd invite him to join us for a potluck dinner. no news. i had nothing against him not coming - in fact, i completely understood it - but he could have replied. which he did...today. saying he'd keep an eye out for my drinks, which incidentally take place tomorrow, which i'm guessing he would know if he actually was that interested. so it seems a bit pointless telling him about it. i guess we'll have to see if he shows up... but all in all, i must have spoken to him for about 15 mns, so it's not like i know him or anything. this is exactly why i don't generally make an effort when i barely know someone.
